I drive by this dealer everyday and saw they have this 2015 TLX SH-AWD tech pack car for a solid price. I used to take my TL-S here for service, tried to buy a couple cars for my job here as well, i’m sure my profile there looks quite odd. Either way, will be interesting to see how willing they are to move this car at the end of the month.

I’m starting to look at A
cura a bit harder now and am realizing that acura is
a great value for an up market car. Our local dealer has a 2017 ILX (fancy civic) listed for $18k, it’s nearly brand new. Not being AWD is probably why they have it so
cheap in this land of subarus.

Seems like an intermediate car... Have you tried a non-Honda product? :)

Can’t find a Q50S, the GTI’s ive looked at have sold, I don’t really want a Focus ST, WRX’s are selling over 25k by me even slightly used, forget STI’s

Hold out for a GTI. VW made lots of ‘em.

Elantra GT? Corolla hatcback XSE? You’re already in the price bracket.

When I noticed these were super cheap on the used/CPO market, I took the time to drive one. Super uninspired, nothing like the Acura of yore. I’d be interested in your take if you drive one.

Havent looked at either. Doesn’t help I greatly dislike all the local toyota dealers as they’re all scum bags.

Beware of the 2015s! The 9 speed has tons of drivability issues, well documented. Check the Acurazine and TLX forums. Supposedly fixed by 2016 but I wouldn’t personally touch one of these if it is not a 2017+ model.

There was also a recall, seperate from this
It was Consumer Reports’ top unreliable cars of 2015 due to electronics and transmissions issues.
I researched this car heavily few years back. Just trying to warn you.

I went with the TL over a 2015 TLX for many, many reasons...

Glad I could help, LOL.
I thought you would have bought a Golf GTI by now.
Anyway, if you’re considering this, why not an xDrive 328i/335i? or even a top trim WRX?
Or if you want to stay with Acura consider the last gen 2014 Acura TL SH-AWD with tech/advance package.

It’s the better car, even if older. I suggested the TL in my reply as well.

I don’t want a BMW, leases aren’t my thing and neither is eating depreciation. WRX’s by me are pushing over 28k

I had two as loaners earlier this year. They were all right. Better with AWD. I got a 4th gen TL instead because it's a better car.

The 2012-14 AWDs are great.

The ILX intrigued me when I was looking to trade in my TSX, but it doesn’t do a good enough job of hiding its Civic bones (although they seem to have tried a bit harder with the 2019 facelift). A 2012-14 TL AWD can be found for around the same price and is *much* more car for the money. Though the TLX and ILX both beat it on fuel mileage.
